The accommodation
The rooms are all attractively furnished and comfortable, with television and tea trays.
Room 1
This room has en-suite facilities – an electric
shower, washbasin and toilet. The views from this room are towards Latrigg
and the Helvellyn Range from the side, and from the rear window you can
watch the extensive range of birdlife feeding in the garden and the occasional
red squirrel.
Room 2
This
room has twin beds. It has a washbasin in the room and shares the main
bathroom with room 3. It has truly wonderful views – Latrigg
and Helvellyn from the side window and Catbells, Causey Pike, Grizedale
Pike and Whinlatter Forest from the front window.
Room 3
This is a double room. It has a washbasin and shares
the main bathroom with room 2. This room has panoramic views of Catbells,
Newlands Valley, Causey Pike, Grizedale Pike and Whinlatter Forest.
The Bathroom
This room is for the use of rooms 2 and 3 only. It comprises
an electric shower, toilet, washbasin and bath.
The Dining Room
Breakfast is served between 8 and 8.45am (or otherwise
by arrangement) in the attractive dining room, which has views across
the Derwent Valley towards Braithwaite and Thornthwaite and the Fells
beyond. A full and varied menu is offered, including a superb Full English
Breakfast and vegetarian options. Also in the dining room you will find
a wide range of local information and magazines to enhance your stay,
as well as books and maps to help in planning walking or touring routes.
